Dr. Dawn Davis, author of “Mom As You Are,” rants about the “bust through” approach to yoga and shares her thoughts on self-care and the method she created called M-I-N-D-F-U-L.
The biggest takeaways from this episode:
Hey friend,
Welcome to the Style With Intention podcast.
I’m so excited to share my conversation with my brilliant, accomplished friend, Dr. Dawn Davis. She’s got such a down-to-earth approach and her practice is based in kindness and allowing the feelings we are feeling – and today she rants a bit about the way our society has twisted yoga into a weapon to be used to “bust through” whatever we are feeling.
Instead, she gives us her M-I-N-D-F-U-L steps to feel better. My favorite part is how she described feeling our feet grounded into the earth. Each step of her practice is one more way to be kind to ourselves and most effectively rest and recover.

As always, my goal is to make it quicker and easier for you to access more ease, joy, and intention in your life…because happy looks really, really good!
